PSYNDEX is a reference database which provides complete bibliographical information, abstracts, and precise content indexing of literature, but does not contain the full-texts.
Many universities subscribe to electronic journals and offer linking directly from PSYNDEX records to the electronic full-texts.
If this is not possible, you can use the reference found in PSYNDEX to check whether the full-text is available in your library's catalog (OPAC). If you can't find it there, you can either use your interlibrary loan system to order the literature or purchase the full-text from a document delivery service like subito1 or Ingenta2 or in many cases the full-text can be purchased directly from the publisher.
In the case of books, you may choose to purchase the book found in your PSYNDEX search from a bookstore.
PSYNDEX versions, including PubPsych, usually use a link resolver to link records in the search results with full-text versions. A link resolver retrieves further services for known literature records (for example, the electronic full-text or a catalog record) and displays the corresponding links in a selection menu.
